Metaplanet buys the dip, issues $13.4M in bonds for Bitcoin purchases

Metaplanet, a Japanese Bitcoin treasury firm, issued $13.4 million in 0% bonds to fund more BTC purchases, continuing its aggressive accumulation strategy.
Japanese Bitcoin treasury firm Metaplanet issued 2 billion Japanese yen ($13.35 million) in bonds to continue expanding its BTC reserves, marking the latest move in a series of purchases that began in May 2024.
On Feb. 27, Metaplanet announced the fresh issuance of 0% ordinary bonds worth 2 billion yen to purchase Bitcoin (BTC). According to the notice, this was the seventh time Metaplanet issued ordinary bonds for making Bitcoin purchases.
